Okay, here’s my blog post about messing around with a Yamaha SUV Jet Ski:

So, I’ve always been curious about those big, beefy jet skis – the ones that look like they could handle anything. You know, the Yamaha SUVs. I finally got my hands on one, and let me tell you, it was an experience!
Getting Started
First off, this thing is heavy. I mean, seriously heavy. It’s not like those little, zippy jet skis you can toss around. This is a beast. Trying to move it on the trailer took some real effort. I definitely recommend having a buddy help you out, or you’ll be there struggling.
- Checked all the fluids like the oil, coolant, make sure that’s good.
- Hooked up the battery, made sure it was charged.
- Made sure I have the safety lanyard on.
The Ride
Once I got it in the water, though, whoa. It’s a whole different ballgame. The power is, the stability, it is very different. It felt like I was riding a tank compared to other skis I’ve used.
I started off slow, getting a feel for the throttle and steering. It’s definitely responsive, but in a smooth, controlled way. Not jerky at all. Once I got comfortable, I opened it up a bit. That’s when the fun really started. This thing can move! And it just plows through the waves. It felt solid and stable, even when I hit some bigger chop.
I spent a good few hours just cruising around, exploring the lake. This jet ski is built for adventure, that’s for sure. I even tried a little bit of towing with it, pulling a tube with a friend. No problem at all. It had plenty of power to spare.
The Aftermath
Getting it back on the trailer was another workout, I must admit. But, totally worth it. Cleaning it up was pretty straightforward – just a good rinse with fresh water to get all the lake grime off. I made sure to check everything over, and to make sure all is well for storage.
Overall, playing around with the Yamaha SUV Jet Ski was a blast. It’s a different kind of ride – more about power, stability, and exploring than pure speed and tricks. If you’re looking for a jet ski that can handle anything you throw at it, and you don’t mind a bit of a workout getting it on and off the trailer, then this is definitely one to check out. Just be prepared for its size and weight! It’s a whole different beast.
