Okay, so I’ve been looking into getting a new car for a while now. My family’s getting bigger, and we just need more space. Honestly, we’re busting at the seams in our old sedan. I finally decided to pull the trigger on a new three-row SUV, and after a lot of looking around, I went with a Honda.

First things first, I started doing a bunch of research online. I mean, who doesn’t these days? I compared all the big names – you know, the usual suspects. I looked at their features, especially how many people they could fit and how much stuff you could cram in the back. That was a big deal for me.
I knew I wanted a three-row SUV mostly because we just needed the extra seats, but the extra cargo space is a lifesaver, too. I mean, with kids, it’s not just about fitting them in, but also all their gear. Strollers, sports equipment, you name it – it all adds up. I started checking out local dealerships, you know, just to get a feel for what was out there.
Why a Honda, Though?
So, why did I end up with a Honda? Well, I’ve heard good things about them for years. They’re known for being reliable, and honestly, I don’t want to be dealing with a bunch of breakdowns and repairs. Plus, everyone says they last forever. When I started digging into the specific models, the Pilot really caught my eye. It has a lot of interior room.
- Driving: Test drove the Pilot, and it felt good. Handled well, felt solid on the road, and it’s actually pretty comfortable to drive, which is important for long road trips.
- Checking Out the Inside: I spent a good amount of time just sitting in the Pilot, messing around with the seats, folding them down, seeing how easy it was to get in and out of the third row. My kids are not getting any smaller, so I wanted to be sure they would still fit in the back as they grow older.
- Negotiating: This part is always a bit of a pain, but I did my homework beforehand and knew what a fair price was. We went back and forth a bit, but eventually, we settled on a number that I felt good about.
Finally, after all that, I signed the paperwork and drove the new Pilot home. So far, so good. I really feel like we made the right choice, but ask me again in another six months! I am sure that we will love it!
