Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about these pickup truck bed fuel tanks. Ya see, them trucks, they gotta drink somethin’, just like us, right? And that somethin’ is fuel, gas, diesel, whatever ya wanna call it. Now, how much they can hold, that’s a whole ‘nother story.

The Size of Things
Some of them trucks, they’re just little fellers, ya know? Like them small pickups you see runnin’ around town. They might not hold much, maybe just a few gallons. But then ya got them big ol’ workhorses, the ones that haul stuff and do the heavy liftin’. Them fellers, they need a whole lot more juice. I’ve heard tell they can hold somethin’ fierce, like, a whole bunch of gallons. Don’t rightly know how many exactly, but it’s a lot, let me tell ya.
The fella down the road, he’s got a big truck, always haulin’ hay and such. He was tellin’ me the other day that his truck can hold, I think he said, somethin’ like two hundred to four hundred liters. Now, I ain’t too good with them fancy liters and such, but that sounds like a whole heap of gas to me. He said somethin’ about them Mahindra trucks over in India…Blazo X, somethin’ like that. Said they got tanks dependin’ on how much stuff ya gotta haul. Sounds right to me, bigger the load, bigger the drink ya need.
Gallons and Such
Folks always askin’, “How many gallons can a truck hold?” Well, it’s like askin’ how much a fella can eat! Depends on the fella, don’t it? Same with trucks. Little truck, little tank. Big truck, big tank. It ain’t rocket science, that’s for sure.
Extra Tanks and Whatnot
Now, some folks, they need even more go-juice than what the regular tank can hold. Maybe they gotta go a long way, or maybe they’re workin’ out in the fields where there ain’t no gas stations. So, what do they do? They get themselves one of them extra fuel tanks, the ones they put in the bed of the truck. I seen them advertised, ya know. Big ol’ tanks, some holdin’ seventy gallons or more, painted black most times.
- They come with all sorts of stuff too, like long cables and hoses, fancy nozzles, pumps… Heck, I don’t even know what half of it is. But it all sounds powerful important if you need to move a lot of fuel around.
- One ad I saw, it said somethin’ about the pump movin’ twelve gallons a minute. Twelve gallons! That’s faster than I can pour a glass of sweet tea, I tell ya. And it runs on the truck’s battery, 12 volts they said.
- And these tanks, they ain’t just for gas, ya know. Some folks use ‘em for diesel, for their tractors and such. Handy things to have, I reckon, if you got a lot of work to do.
Keepin’ it Safe
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I do know ya gotta be careful with fuel. It’s powerful stuff, can go boom if ya ain’t careful. So, if you’re gonna be messin’ with these extra fuel tanks, make sure ya know what you’re doin’. Read the instructions, follow the rules, and don’t go doin’ nothin’ foolish. Safety first, that’s what my pappy always said.
Bottom Line
So, there ya have it, a little somethin’ about pickup truck bed fuel tanks. Big ones, small ones, extra ones… they all just hold the juice that keeps them trucks runnin’. And how much they hold? Well, that depends on the truck and what ya need it for. Just remember to be safe, and don’t go runnin’ outta gas in the middle of nowhere. That ain’t no fun, let me tell ya.
