Okay, here’s my sharing today:
So, I’ve been messing around with slot cars lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a blast from the past! Today, I got my hands on this AFX America’s Sports Car set, and I had to share my experience. I mean, who doesn’t love a good old Corvette, right?
First off, I unboxed this bad boy. The set comes with a 32-foot track, which is pretty massive, and a sweet yellow 1968 Corvette 327. I have to say, the detail on this car is impressive for a 1/64th scale model. I started by setting up the track. It took a bit of time, but it was totally worth it. The track has these huge 18″ radius curves that just scream speed.

Once everything was in place, I plugged in the Tri-Power Pack. This thing is what gives the car its juice. I placed the Corvette on the track and gently pressed the controller. Oh boy, did that car fly! It’s amazing how much power these little things pack. I spent the next couple of hours just racing around the track, trying to beat my own lap times.
I learned that these AFX cars have a short wheelbase, around 1.5 inches, which makes them super agile. They stick to the track like glue, especially on those tight curves. You can really feel the handling, it’s like driving a real sports car but in miniature. Someone even said that these were the most popular sports cars ever. It really does feel that way.

Honestly, I had a ton of fun with this set. It’s a great way to relive some childhood memories or even make some new ones. The Mega G+ Race System is no joke; it’s like the real deal in the slot car world. If you’re into slot cars or just want to try something fun and nostalgic, I definitely recommend giving this AFX set a shot. You won’t regret it!
