Alright, let’s jaw about this Pontiac sports car 2023, or whatever they’re callin’ it these days. I ain’t no fancy car expert, mind you, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two. But I know what I like, and I like a car that can get you from point A to point B without breakin’ down every five minutes.

Now, they’re talkin’ about this 2023 Pontiac Trans Am. Trans Am, huh? Sounds like somethin’ outta them fancy racing movies. They say it’s a “custom car,” which I reckon means it ain’t somethin’ you’ll find just rollin’ off the assembly line like them old clunkers. Probably gonna cost a pretty penny, too. Lord knows, these young folks these days, they got more money than sense.
- They say it’s fast.
- They say it looks good.
- They say it costs an arm and a leg.
This “Trans Am” thing, they say it’s supposed to be speedy. I remember them old cars, they used to roar like a lion, not like these new whispery things. This one, they say it goes from zero to sixty in like, what, 5.6 seconds? Faster than a greased pig on a hot skillet, I tell ya! And that quarter-mile thing, 14.2 seconds at 98 mph? Sounds like a whole lotta whoosh to me. But honestly, where you gonna go that fast? The grocery store? Church?
Now, they also had this other car, the Pontiac Solstice. That one, they made it a while back, from 2006 to 2010. A two-seater, they say. Not much good if you got a whole bunch of grandkids to haul around, I’ll tell ya that much. But it was a looker, I hear. “Sleek and stylish,” they called it. Probably one of them cars that young fellers like to show off in. And they say it was “affordable,” which is more than I can say for most things these days.
Speaking of the Solstice, seems like they didn’t make too many of them Solstice Coupes. Something about the factory shuttin’ down. Only about 1,266 of them coupes ever made it out, they say. 102 pre-production ones in 2009, and then 1,152 regular ones the same year. So, if you got one of them, I guess you got yourself somethin’ special. Like one of them fancy quilts my grandma used to make, ain’t nobody makin’ them like that no more.
But this 2023 Pontiac Trans Am, that’s the one they’re all buzzin’ about now. “Release Date and Price,” they keep sayin’. Well, I ain’t seen neither one yet. Probably gonna keep us waitin’ and waitin’, like always. And when it finally does come out, it’ll probably cost more than my old house is worth. But hey, that’s how it goes. They make ’em shiny and new, and we old folks just watch ’em go by.
I tell you what though, these cars, they’re gettin’ too fancy for me. All them computers and gizmos, I don’t know how anybody keeps track of it all. Give me a good old car with a steering wheel and some pedals, that’s all I need. But I guess that’s just me, an old woman stuck in her ways. Still, it’s kinda fun to hear about these newfangled contraptions. Keeps things interestin’, I suppose.
So, that’s the lowdown on this Pontiac sports car 2023, as best as I can figure it. Fast, fancy, and probably expensive. Not for the likes of me, but maybe them young folks will enjoy it. Just hope they drive safe, that’s all. ‘Cause these roads ain’t gettin’ any safer, and a fast car in the wrong hands, well, that’s just a recipe for disaster. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got some chores to do.
