Alright, let’s talk about them Toyota SUVs, the ones that don’t break down on ya every other week, ya know? Them reliable ones.

The RAV4, that’s a good one. I hear folks sayin’ the ones from 2006 to 2018, them are the real workhorses. The 2006 to 2012 ones and the 2013 to 2018 ones. People like ’em ’cause they just keep on goin’. Don’t need fixin’ all the time, and that’s a blessin’, let me tell ya. Gas ain’t cheap, and these here RAV4s, they don’t guzzle it all up like some I’ve seen.
They ride nice too, comfy like. Plenty of room inside for the grandkids and all their stuff. You know how it is, they always bringin’ somethin’ along. And like I said, easy on the gas. That’s important these days.
- Good on gas
- Lots of space
- Don’t break down all the time
Now, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ a bit bigger, the Highlander, that’s another one they say is real safe. Got all them safety awards, they say. NHTSA somethin’-somethin’, five stars they give it. That was in 2023 and 2024, so the newer ones, I guess. Makes ya feel a bit better haulin’ the young’uns around, knowin’ it’s safe.
Then there’s that Sequoia. Big ol’ thing. Looks like a truck, almost. Got that big engine, a V8 they call it. Powerful, I reckon. If you gotta pull somethin’ heavy, or go up a big hill, that’s the one you want. They say it’s good quality too, reliable like. J.D. Power, that’s the name they use. Gave it a good score, 84 out of 100, somethin’ like that. That’s pretty good, I reckon.
They mentioned a Camry too, but that ain’t no SUV. Still, they say it’s real good, reliable as the sunrise. A 92 outta 100, that’s what they give it. But we’re talkin’ SUVs here, so let’s stick to that.
So, if you want my two cents, for a smaller SUV, the RAV4 is the way to go. Especially them older ones, 2006 to 2018, they say those are the best. For somethin’ bigger and safer, the Highlander. And if you need somethin’ real strong, the Sequoia. Can’t go wrong with a Toyota, that’s what folks always sayin’. They last a good long time, if you take care of ‘em.
But remember, it ain’t just about the car, it’s about how you treat it. Keep up with the oil changes, check the tires, don’t drive it like a maniac, and it’ll last ya a good long while. That’s true for any car, but especially these Toyotas, they built to last, they say.
Now, I ain’t no expert, just tellin’ ya what I hear from folks who know cars. But I’ve seen enough cars come and go to know a good one when I hear about it. And these Toyotas, they seem to be the ones folks keep holdin’ onto.
So there you have it. The RAV4, the Highlander, and the Sequoia. Them’s the reliable Toyota SUVs, according to most folks. Go on and pick yourself one, you won’t be sorry, I reckon.
Just remember to do your own research too, don’t just take my word for it. Go talk to some folks who know cars, read some reviews, and then decide what’s best for you and your family.
