Alright, let’s talk about them fancy cars, the ones they call “sports cars,” but not the crazy expensive ones. We’re lookin’ at the best ones you can get for under $70,000. That’s still a whole lotta money, mind you, but some folks got it, and they wanna go fast, I guess.

First off, they got this Chevy Corvette Stingray. Heard it’s a 2024 model. People say it’s real sporty. Never seen one up close myself, but them city folks seem to like it. Probably goes real fast, makes a lotta noise. I bet it drinks gas like a thirsty cow drinks water, though. For under seventy thousand? Sounds like a deal if you got the cash, I reckon.
Then there’s this little fella, the Mazda Miata. They been makin’ these for a while now. Heard tell of some from back in ’98 to 2005 bein’ good, and some newer ones too, like the 2021 model. They say it ain’t got a big engine, just a little four-cylinder thing. But folks seem to love ’em. Probably ’cause they’re small and zippy, like a rabbit on a hot skillet. And I bet they don’t cost as much as that Corvette, not by a long shot. Probably easier on the gas too, which is good, ’cause gas ain’t cheap these days.
- Mazda Miata – small and zippy
- Chevy Corvette Stingray – fast and fancy
Now, if you wanna get fancy, real fancy, there’s this Audi TT. They say it’s a “luxury sports car.” Sounds like somethin’ a rich fella would drive. You can get the coupe, they say, for around $52,000. That’s still a heap of money, but it’s less than seventy! They also talk about somethin’ called an Audi TTS, sayin’ it’s reliable. Don’t know what that means exactly, but I guess it means it won’t break down on ya all the time. That’s important, I reckon, ’cause fixin’ them fancy cars costs a pretty penny.
And then there’s this Volvo S90. But this one’s a “plug-in hybrid.” Don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds complicated. They say it’s a luxury car too, but it’s also good on gas, or somethin’ like that. Maybe it uses ‘lectricity too? I don’t know, all this newfangled stuff confuses me. But if you wanna be fancy and save some gas money, maybe that’s the one for ya.
So, there you have it. A few of them sports cars you can get for under seventy thousand. You got your fast ones, your small ones, and your fancy ones. Pick your poison, I say. Me? I’ll stick with my old pickup truck. It ain’t fancy, but it gets me where I need to go. And it can haul a whole lot more than them sporty fellas can. But if you got the money and the need for speed, well, go on and get yourself one of them fancy cars. Just be careful out there, and don’t go drivin’ like a maniac.
Remember, these fancy cars, they cost a lot to keep running too. Insurance, gas, repairs – it all adds up. So make sure you can afford it before you go signin’ on the dotted line. And don’t let them city slickers talk you into somethin’ you don’t need. A car’s a car, whether it costs ten thousand or seventy thousand. It gets you from point A to point B. That’s all that matters, far as I’m concerned.
But if you really want my advice, take that seventy thousand and put it towards somethin’ sensible. Like a nice piece of land, or maybe a good tractor. That’ll last you a lot longer than one of them fancy cars, I guarantee it.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on them sports cars. Take it or leave it. I’m just an old woman who knows a thing or two about life, and that’s that.
