Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Kayaune Ross. He’s one of them football players, you know, the ones that run around and catch the ball. I seen ’em on the TV sometimes, big fellas, they are.

Now, from what I gather, this Kayaune, he plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. Bengals, huh? Sounds like a bunch of wild cats. He’s a WR, which I reckon means Wide Receiver. That means he catches the ball, I think. They throw it to him, and he’s gotta catch it. Seems simple enough, but them fellas are always gettin’ knocked around. Tough job, I tell ya.
This boy, Kayaune, he’s been movin’ around a bit. Seems like he’s been on a few different teams this year. The article I seen, it said he signed a contract with the Bengals on Saturday. That’s good, I guess. Means he got a job. Everyone needs a job, even them football fellas.
I heard tell that you can find all sorts of stuff about him online. Stats, they call ’em. Numbers, mostly. How many times he caught the ball, how far he ran with it, that sort of thing. ESPN, CBS Sports, FOX Sports, they all got somethin’ to say about him. Pro Football Focus too, whatever that is. Sounds fancy.
They say he’s a Tight End too, sometimes. Now, I ain’t quite sure what the difference is between a Wide Receiver and a Tight End. Sounds like they both catch the ball, though. Maybe one’s wider and one’s tighter? I don’t know. It’s all a bit confusing to an old woman like me.
- They got his “Player Info,” whatever that means. Probably how tall he is, how much he weighs. Big, I bet. They gotta be big to play that game.
- Then there’s “News.” That’s probably about whether he played good or bad, or if he got hurt. Hope he don’t get hurt. That’s no good.
- And “Stats.” Like I said, numbers. Lots and lots of numbers. They like their numbers, them sports folks.
- “Game Logs” they got too. Guess that’s like a diary of all the games he played in. Must be a lot of writin’.
- Oh, and “Videos!” I seen some of them. They show him runnin’ and catchin’ and gettin’ knocked around. It’s kinda excitin’, I guess. But I always worry they’re gonna get hurt.
They even got his “Career History,” which I figure means where he played before. Seems like he bounced around a bit. That’s the way it goes sometimes, though. You gotta find a place where you fit in. Like findin’ the right patch of dirt for plantin’ your tomatoes, you know?
So, this Kayaune Ross, he’s a football player for the Bengals. He catches the ball. He’s got numbers and videos and all sorts of stuff written about him online. He’s a busy fella, I reckon. And he’s tryin’ to make a livin’, just like the rest of us. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
I don’t know much about football, to be honest. But I know hard work when I see it. And these fellas, they work hard. Runnin’ and jumpin’ and gettin’ knocked around. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. So, good luck to Kayaune Ross, and all them other football fellas. Hope they stay safe and catch lots of balls.
And that’s about all I got to say about Kayaune Ross. He’s a football player, and that’s that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
