Okay, so I finally got my hands on a Kawasaki Ninja 650. I’ve been eyeing this bike for a while, and let me tell you, the process was a bit of a journey, but it’s absolutely awesome!

Getting Started
First things first, I spent ages just researching. I mean, I watched every YouTube review, read all the articles, and compared it to other bikes like, a million times. I really wanted to make sure this was the right bike for me, you know? I wanted something sporty, but also comfortable enough for longer rides, good for the city.
The Hunt
Then came the actual hunt for the bike. I checked out a few dealerships, some were great, others, not so much. I even looked at some used ones online, but I was a bit nervous about buying used, being kind of new to this.
Test Ride Time!
Finally, I found a dealership that had a Ninja 650 in stock and they let me take it for a test ride. Man, that first ride! I felt the power, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The handling was so smooth, and it felt surprisingly light. I took it on some twisty roads and some straightaways, just to get a feel for it. I instantly felt good with it, and it handles pretty well.
Making it Mine
After the test ride, I was sold. I went back inside, did all the paperwork, which, honestly, was the most boring part. But hey, it had to be done. A few days later, I picked up my brand new, shiny Ninja 650!
After riding it, I found the throttle is pretty responsive, almost too responsive, and it’s kinda jerky. I don’t like that.
First Real Ride
My first “real” ride was amazing. I took it out on a longer trip, just cruising along the coast. The wind in my hair (well, under my helmet!), the sound of the engine… it was pure bliss. I stopped at a little cafe, grabbed a coffee, and just admired the bike. It’s such a good-looking machine.
Making small adjustments
- Since I got the bike, I want to make little changes that fits my style.
- First thing is, I need to adjust the levers, they just feel a bit too far for my hands, so that’s an easy fix.
- I want to change the stock exhaust. I want to find a better looking and sounding one.
Overall, getting the Ninja 650 has been an awesome experience. From the initial research to finally owning and riding it, every step has been exciting. It’s a fantastic bike, and I can’t wait to put many more miles on it!
