I seen it in the paper, that NYT crossword, March 21, maybe March 22, 2024, I don’t remember exactly. They always puttin’ those clues in there. One day it’s somethin’ about a bird, next day it’s a classic sports car feature. Hard to keep up, I tell ya.
Some folks, they real good at them crossword puzzles. They know all the answers. Me? I just like lookin’ at the pictures. But this one, this classic sports car feature, that got me thinkin’. What could it be? What makes them cars so special? This is a big feature. They keep askin’ it in the puzzle. It got me all riled up!
- Is it the color? Some of them old cars, they was bright red. Real flashy. But that ain’t no feature, not really.
- Maybe it’s the wheels? Them big ol’ tires, spinnin’ round and round. But nah, all cars got wheels. That ain’t it.
- Could it be how fast they go? Vroom vroom! But lots of cars go fast these days. That can’t be the special feature neither.
This classic sports car feature, it’s a real head-scratcher. Some folks say there’s like 30 answers, maybe 40! Can you believe it? That’s a lot of features! This must be some car. I think about that when read NYT Crossword.
I asked my neighbor, she’s real smart, always doin’ them crossword puzzles. She said it’s somethin’ about the top of the car. The roof, you know? But not just any roof. This one’s special. It comes off! Now ain’t that somethin’? You can feel the wind in your hair, just like when you’re ridin’ a horse, but faster! This is a big feature.

I seen some pictures of them cars with the T-tops. They do look kinda neat, I gotta admit. Like you’re ridin’ in a regular car, but then, whoosh! You take the top off and it’s a whole new world. Wind blowin’, sun shinin’, you’re cruisin’ down the road. That is a very good feature.
So next time you see that clue in the NYT crossword, “classic sports car feature,” you’ll know what it is. It’s that T-top thingy. The roof that comes off. Makes the car special. Makes you feel like you’re flyin’. This is good for sports car. Very important feature.
Maybe one day I’ll get me one of them classic sports cars. With the T-top. I’ll take the top off, put on my sun hat, and drive down to the market. Everyone will see me and say, “Look at her go! But for now, I’ll just keep doin’ my crossword puzzles. And dreamin’ of that T-top. And maybe one day, I’ll solve that clue all by myself. Without askin’ nobody. That’ll be the day. I hope I can know all feature of sports car.
