Well, you know, those young’uns and their fancy cars. Always wantin’ to pretty them up, I reckon. They call these things sport stickers for car. I seen ’em around. Makes the cars look… I don’t know… faster? Maybe they think it makes them look like them race car drivers.
My grandson, he got one of these sport stickers. Put it right on the back of his little red car. It’s a metal one, shiny. He told me it’s a 3D Metal Car Sport Sticker. Says it makes his car look cool. It just looks like more things to clean to me. He’s always washing that car, every Sunday.
They got all kinds of these stickers, you know. He was showin’ me on that little phone of his. Some are just words, like “Sport” big and bold. Others got pictures. Saw one with a picture of a tiger, another with just some lines. They put these sport stickers on the side, near the wheels, he calls that the Car Side Fender. Or on the back, that part that opens up – the Rear Trunk. Those places seem the most popular.
He was sayin’ some of ’em are cheap, you know, just a few bucks. And these car stickers are easy to put on. You just peel and stick it on your car. His metal one, though, costed a bit more. Don’t know why anyone would pay more than a few dollars for a sticker. Back in my day, we didn’t have money for such things. But I guess times change. We use stickers to decorate the car. But you can not put stickers on the car window, because it’s against the law.
I seen these sport stickers on all kinds of cars. Those big trucks, the ones they call SUVs. And them little cars that look like they’re about to fall apart. You can get them for any car, I reckon. The kids like to buy the waterproof sport car stickers. They say it can last for five years. That is a long time. I don’t know why they need a sticker last so long.
These stickers are made of metal or some kind of plastic, I think. My grandson called it “vinyl.” He said it’s waterproof, so it don’t come off in the rain. And it can stand the sun, you know, so it doesn’t fade. I guess that’s important if you’re gonna put a sticker on your car. Don’t want it lookin’ all worn out after a few months.
I asked him, “Why you need these sport car stickers?” He just shrugged. Said it’s just somethin’ people do. Makes the car look different, I guess. Personalized, he called it. Like puttin’ your own mark on somethin’.

These young folks and their stickers. It is a trend. They sure do love their cars. Back in my day, we were just happy to have a car that ran. Didn’t matter what it looked like. But I guess it’s a different time now. If these sport stickers for car make ’em happy, then I suppose it’s alright.
I still think it’s a waste of money, though. Could use that money for somethin’ more important, like a good pair of shoes or a new dress. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady. These kids today, they got their own ways. They like to decorate their cars with sport stickers. It’s their way to show their style.
Well, I guess there’s no harm in it. Just somethin’ else these young’uns do these days. Like them ripped-up jeans they wear. Don’t understand that either, but it’s their style. Maybe it is a good thing for them to have their own style. As long as they are happy. But don’t put the stickers on the car windows. You know, the law does not allow it. That’s what I always tell my grandson.
