Well, howdy there! Let’s jaw about them old Dodge sports cars, ya hear? Seems like some folks are all in a tizzy tryin’ to figure out their names for some kinda word puzzle. Danged if I know why, but city folk do strange things.

The Dodge Viper, that’s a name I remember. Folks said it was a real fast one, like a snake on wheels. Never seen one myself, ‘cept in pictures. Too fancy for around here, ya know? We mostly had trucks and such, things that could haul hay and get ya through a muddy field. But that Viper, they say it was somethin’ special. A real head-turner, I reckon.
Now, I heard tell there were other Dodge sports cars too, but their names ain’t stickin’ in my old brain like the Viper. Maybe ’cause that one sounded so mean, like it could bite ya if ya weren’t careful. These puzzle folks, they seem to be lookin’ for all sorts of names though. Heck, I even heard ’em talkin’ about “old Dodge” this and “former sports car” that. Makes a body spin, all this talkin’ in circles.
- They got these things called “crosswords,” see? Kinda like fillin’ in the blanks, but with words.
- And seems like “Dodge sports car” is a popular blank to fill.
- Don’t ask me why. Maybe city folk don’t have enough chores to keep ’em busy.
I tell ya what, though, if they’re lookin’ for old car names, they oughta come talk to me and my old man. We seen ’em all come and go, from them clunky old things that rattled like a tin can to them shiny new ones that purred like a kitten. We could tell ’em a thing or two, that’s for sure. But these puzzle makers, they probably wouldn’t listen. They got their fancy books and their fancy ways. Too good for a couple of old country folks, I reckon.
But back to them Dodge cars. Viper, that’s the one I remember best. Maybe there was a Dart or a Challenger too? Names come and go, ya know? Hard to keep track when you got crops to tend and cows to milk. And let’s be honest, most of them fancy cars weren’t worth a hill of beans when it came to gettin’ work done. Give me a good ol’ pickup truck any day.
These puzzle folks, they sure do ask a lot of questions though. “Old Dodge,” they say. Well, that could be just about anythin’, couldn’t it? Dodge made all sorts of things, not just sports cars. They made trucks, like I said, and vans, and even them big ol’ station wagons. But I guess they ain’t interested in them. They want the fast ones, the sporty ones, the ones that make all the noise. City folk, I tell ya.
So, if you’re one of them puzzle folks, and you’re stuck on “Dodge sports car,” try “Viper.” That’s the one that comes to my mind first. And if that ain’t it, well, then I don’t know what to tell ya. Maybe you should go ask someone who knows more about these things than an old woman like me. Someone who spends their time readin’ books and lookin’ at pictures instead of workin’ in the fields and tendin’ to the chickens.
But I’ll tell you this much, them old Dodges, they were somethin’ else. Even if they weren’t practical for us country folk, they sure were pretty to look at. And that Viper, well, it was a legend in its own time. So go ahead and fill in your puzzle, city folks. And if you ever need to know somethin’ about real work, you come on out here and see me. I’ll teach ya a thing or two.
Anyways, I hope this here helped you city folks with your puzzle-makin’. It ain’t easy rememberin’ all them car names after all these years. But that Viper, that one stuck with me. A real screamer, they said. Good riddance to it, I say. Too loud and too fast for my taste. Give me a good, quiet mule any day of the week.
