Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get rid of my old 1995 Nissan pickup truck for a while now. It’s been sitting in my driveway, taking up space, and honestly, it’s just time for it to go. I decided to finally get down to business and figure out how to sell this thing.

First, I cleaned it up real good. I mean, I scrubbed the inside, washed and waxed the outside, and even cleaned under the hood. It’s an old truck, but I wanted it to look as decent as possible for any potential buyers.
After that, I took a bunch of pictures. I made sure to get shots from every angle, highlighting the good parts and, of course, being honest about any dings or scratches. I figured clear pictures would be super important for anyone looking online.
- Cleaned the truck inside and out
- Took lots of pictures from all angles
- Researched similar trucks for sale to figure out a good price
Next, I did some digging online to see what similar trucks were going for. I checked out a few different websites, like that Gumtree, just to get a ballpark figure. I didn’t want to rip anyone off, but I also wanted to get a fair price for it.
Then came the listing. I wrote up a description, being honest about the truck’s condition, mileage, and any work I’d had done on it. I also made sure to mention it was a 4×4, because that seemed like a good selling point. I ended up choosing Gumtree, because it seems to have many similar truck listed and is easy to use.
Getting It Sold
I posted the listing and waited. It felt a little weird, like I was putting an old friend up for adoption, but it needed to be done. I did get a few calls, a few tire-kickers, you know, but then I got a call from this guy who seemed genuinely interested.
He came by, took a look, asked some questions, and we even went for a little test drive. He seemed to like it, and we negotiated a price that we were both happy with. It was a little less than I initially asked for, but hey, it’s a ’95, and I just wanted it gone to a good home.
Finally, we did the paperwork, I signed over the title, and he drove it away. It was a bit of a bittersweet moment, watching it go down the street. But it’s out of my hair now, and I’ve got a little extra cash in my pocket. Plus, someone else is getting a solid truck, even if it is a bit of an old-timer.
All in all, it wasn’t too bad of an experience. Took a bit of work, but I managed to sell my 1995 Nissan pickup truck, and that’s what matters.
