Okay, so I’ve been wanting to organize my pickup truck bed for, like, forever. It’s always a mess back there – tools sliding around, groceries rolling all over the place, you name it. I finally decided to tackle it, and I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out, so I figured I’d share my little project.

The Messy Before
First off, I had to deal with the chaos that was already there. I started by pulling everything out. Seriously, everything. Old bungee cords, empty water bottles, that random tarp I used once… it all came out.
Then I hosed down the truck bed. It’s amazing how much dirt and grime builds up back there. After a good scrub and letting it dry, I was ready for the next step.
Building the Box
I wanted something simple, sturdy, and, most importantly, cheap. I wasn’t about to go out and buy some fancy, pre-made organizer. I decided I build one from old wood that was used before.
Because I have many different tools and I want it looks clean, so I decided to build two samll boxs.
After the two small boxs are done, It become tidier than before, and I can put my tools inside of the box.
- Putting everything back in.This is the best step!
- Testing.I tried slam the door, It won’t open if I lock it.
The (Much Better) After
The truck box now I built looks great, I no longer worry about my tools get wet and got messy, everything has it own place now!
