So, I saw these dudes online rocking motorcycle helmets with freakin’ horns on them. Thought it looked kinda badass, and I’m all about that kinda stuff, y’know? Decided I had to try it myself. Gotta stand out from the crowd, right?
Getting Started
First thing I did was hit up the internet to find out where to even get these things. Turns out, there’s a bunch of places selling them. Different shapes, sizes, colors… the whole nine yards. I ended up grabbing a pair of devil-looking horns. seemed appropriate.
The Process
I’m not a super handy person, I’m just patient. This wasn’t rocket science, though. Here’s how it went down:
- Cleaned the helmet: I have an helmet, and because it’s older, I grab some wipes and gave the helmet a good wipe-down where I planned to stick the horns. Gotta make sure that surface is squeaky clean, or those horns ain’t staying put.
- Figured out placement: This took a while. I held the horns up to the helmet in different spots, trying to figure out what looked the coolest. I had my buddy take some pictures of me to check the look, and I also wanted to see what others were doing, so I looked up pictures of others for reference. Didn’t want them too far forward, too far back, or, like, crooked. Eyeballed it mostly.
- Used the Suction: Mine came with some strong suction, so I just pressed them as hard as possible.
- Double-checked everything: Gave ’em a good wiggle to make sure they were secure. I wouldn’t put a hole in my helmet, so I decided to choose suction.
The Result
Honestly, I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out! It’s a super simple mod, but it adds a lot of personality to my helmet. Makes me feel a little more… I dunno… dangerous when I’m cruising around. Plus, people definitely notice. I’ve gotten a few thumbs-up and “where’d you get those?” already.
