So, I got my hands on the 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale Sprint the other day. I’ve always been curious about Alfas – they look so darn stylish, but you hear all sorts of things, you know?
First Impressions
I picked up the Tonale from the dealership. Right away, I was struck by the looks. It’s definitely got that Italian flair – sharp lines, that signature Alfa grille. It’s a head-turner, no doubt about it. This one was a nice, bright red, which, let’s be honest, is the only color for an Alfa.
Getting Inside
I hopped in, and the interior is pretty nice. It’s not super luxurious, but it feels sporty and well put together. The seats were comfortable enough, and I found a good driving position pretty easily. The steering wheel felt good in my hands – nice and chunky.
Taking it for a Spin
I fired up the engine. It’s a smaller engine, but it’s got some pep. I pulled out of the dealership and headed for some twisty back roads. That’s where I really wanted to see what this thing could do.
- Handling: This is where the Tonale shines. It felt really nimble and responsive. I threw it into some corners, and it stuck to the road like glue. Way more fun than I expected!

Overall Thoughts
After spending a few hours with the Tonale, I came away pretty impressed. It’s a fun, stylish little SUV that’s actually enjoyable to drive. I’m actually thinking about it.
It’s not perfect, of course. If you want a super smooth, quiet ride, this probably isn’t it. But if you want something that’s a little different, something with some personality, the Tonale is definitely worth checking out.
