So, I’ve been on this kick lately, right? Trying to figure out which Harley-Davidson is the absolute fastest. Not just “fast for a Harley,” but fast fast. So I went down this rabbit hole, and boy, did I learn some stuff.

Digging for Info
I started by, you know, hitting up the usual spots online. Forums, articles, manufacturer specs… the whole nine yards. Problem is, a lot of what I found was either outdated, super vague, or just plain wrong. There’s a ton of arguments and back-and-forths.
Setting Some Ground Rules
First thing I did was to toss out any custom builds. I mean, sure, you can slap a jet engine on a shopping cart, but that’s not really in the spirit of things. I wanted to focus on bikes that rolled off the factory floor, even if they’re limited editions.
My Process
I started with filtering the candidates, looking for the factory stock, without any custom build. But this takes time, you need to do it one by one. I took some notes of the candidates I found:
- V-Rod: Heard this name a lot. Seemed promising.
- FXDR 114: Newer model, looked sleek and powerful.
- LiveWire: An electric Harley? Had to check it out.
- Sportster XR1200X: It’s a sportster and that’s what I want.
Eliminating the Contenders
Now for the nitty-gritty. My research showed that the original V-Rod, while quick, isn’t the king anymore. Then I Looked at the XR1200X. Awesome bike, no doubt. But not the top dog in terms of pure speed.
It became clear after looking around the FXDR 114, yes It’s fast, but not the fastest.
The Result
The LiveWire, Harley’s electric offering, kept popping up as a serious contender. My Findings? From what I gather, the LiveWire is capable to take the crown. The instant torque of that electric motor is just insane.
So, there you have it. After all my digging, it looks like the Fastest Harley Davidson Mororcycle goes to LiveWire. It’s a different beast altogether, and it’s blazing a new trail for Harley-Davidson.
