Okay, so today, I decided to mess around with this “dong fang motorcycle” thing. I’d seen some pictures online, and I was curious about what it was all about. I’m no mechanic, but I like to tinker, so I figured, why not?

First, I started by just looking at the motorcycle. It’s red. I wanted to know more about its engine and structure, so I began to take it apart part by part.
I took my tools. Then I started taking it apart, piece by piece. Screws here, bolts there… Man, there were a lot of small parts! I made sure to keep everything organized in little containers so I wouldn’t lose anything. It’s a real pain when you’re putting things back together and you’re missing a crucial screw.
The Disassembly
- Removed the seat. Pretty easy, just a couple of bolts.
- Took off the side panels. These were a bit trickier, had to be careful not to snap any plastic tabs.
- Drained the fuel tank. Gotta be safe, don’t want gasoline all over the place!
- Disconnected the battery. Always a good idea when you’re working with anything electrical.
- Unscrew the engine. It’s very heavy.
I spent a good few hours just taking things apart. I took my time, making sure I understood how everything was connected.I even took some photos along the way, just in case I forgot how something went back together.
Finally, I got to the point where I had a bunch of parts laid out in front of me. I looked over and check. I was pretty proud of myself for getting this far without breaking anything major!
And of course, the satisfaction of putting it all back together and having it actually work.I started the *’s done.
It was a fun day of learning and tinkering. I feel a bit more, you know, connected to the machine now that I’ve seen its guts.
