Okay, so I had this crazy idea the other day. I’ve got this motorcycle, see, and sometimes I need to haul stuff that just won’t fit on the bike. And I don’t own a truck. So, I thought, “Why not combine the two?” I mean, in theory, it sounds simple enough, right?

First, I measured everything. Like, everything. The bike’s length, width, the truck bed’s dimensions – the whole nine yards. I didn’t want to end up with some Frankenstein’s monster that wouldn’t even fit in my garage.
Then came the fun part – actually getting a truck bed. I looked around online, checked out some junkyards, and finally found a beat-up old pickup bed that was the perfect size. It was rusty and dented, but hey, that added character!
Next up: Attaching the thing. This was where it got tricky. I’m no engineer, but I’m pretty handy with tools. I built a sturdy frame out of some scrap metal I had lying around. Bolted it to the truck bed first. Lots and lots of bolts.
- Weld some strong metal bars to the frame.
- Make a support at the bottom of motorcycle.
- Secure with strong strips.
Now, the scary part: lifting the motorcycle into the truck bed. I’m not gonna lie, I was sweating bullets. I used a couple of ramps and a whole lot of grunting, and slowly, carefully, I rolled the bike up into its new home.
Finally,I tied that bike down like it was going to the moon. Ratchet straps everywhere. I even added a few extra ropes for good measure. You can’t be too careful, you know?
And there you have it! My very own motorcycle pickup truck. It’s probably not the prettiest thing on the road, and I definitely wouldn’t take it on the highway, but it works! It’s perfect for those short trips to the hardware store, or for hauling stuff around the property. I’m pretty proud of my little creation, even if it does look a little… unconventional.
