Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for a manual transmission pickup truck. It’s not as easy as you’d think! These things are becoming a rare breed. Here’s how I went about my search.

Started Simple, Got Frustrated
First, I hit up the usual online marketplaces. I figured it’d be a piece of cake. Typed in my search, filtered for “manual transmission,” and…slim pickings. Lots of listings were either mislabeled (automatic, pretending to be manual) or ancient trucks that looked like they’d been through a war.
Got a Tip, Checked it Out
Then, I stumbled upon a suggestion to check a particular website, some place called Kijiji Autos. Sounded Canadian, but I figured, why not? I went to the site, which looked pretty straightforward. They had a whole section dedicated to vehicles, so I dug in.
Filtering and Searching
I used their search tools, specifically looking for “manual” in the transmission options. I also made sure to specify “pickup trucks” to narrow things down. They have a decent number of filters, so that helped a lot.
Results
I found some promising listings! There seemed to be a good mix of private sellers and dealerships, which was nice. Now, I didn’t find my dream truck yet, but the selection was WAY better than what I’d seen elsewhere.
- Lots of Options: Way more manuals than other sites I checked.
- Private Sellers and Dealers: It’s a good mix, so you have choices.
- Filtering Works: I could actually narrow my search easily.
So, this is where I am now. I am still searching, reading the descriptions carefully, and I am planning to contact a few sellers soon. It’s a process, but I feel like I’m on the right track now! I will try my best to find my favorite truck!
