Alright, so, I’ve been wanting to sell my orange sports car for a while now. I mean, this thing is a beauty, but it’s just time for something new, you know?

First off, I started looking around online to see what these things were going for. I checked out a bunch of different websites. It looks like there are tons of used orange cars out there, thousands, apparently. Saw a number like 4,483 on one site. That’s a lot of orange!
Then I started digging into where to actually sell it. Lots of places to choose from. Many websites are selling used cars from Japan, with a huge selection. They said they had over 9,000 cars and more than 30 manufacturers. You can find just about anything. It got me thinking about exporting, but that seemed like a headache. They export worldwide though, so maybe someone overseas will want it.
Next, I compared prices to get an idea of what I should list it for. One website was showing savings of around $2,216 on orange cars. They analyze a ton of used car prices daily, like 10 million or something crazy. I looked at those tagged with Orange County, Orange Used Cars For Sale, and Henderson since that’s relevant to my area.
I found another website that deals specifically with Japanese sports cars. They had all sorts of makes and models. Seemed pretty niche, but hey, my car fits the bill. They mentioned exporting cars all over, which is a plus. Also saw some tags about “Japanese Sports Car,” “Japanese Invasion,” and “New Japanese Sports Cars 2015” which was kind of funny.
There was another place that focused on high-performance luxury sports cars. They only had around 40 cars, but it’s not really the same kind of market, so I moved on.
Then I stumbled upon a site that lets you custom order cars, like, over 200,000 of them! They gather all your dream car info, like make, color, mileage. That’s cool, but I’m trying to sell, not buy.
There were some general used sports car listings too, but nothing too specific. And lastly, I found another website, that has tons of sports cars, like 8,518 listed! They were showing prices as low as $40,200. That site had a huge inventory from over 22,500 dealers. A little overwhelming, but it gave me a good sense of the market.
Oh, and I saw an ad for test-driving used SUVs and crossovers at home. They had a listing for a 2003 Honda Element EX, which is way off from what I’m selling, but it was interesting. I had no idea that was a thing!
So, after all that research, I decided to snap some good photos of my car, cleaned it up real nice, and got it listed. Hopefully, someone out there is looking for a sweet orange ride just like mine!
I think my next car will be blue, just to switch things up, haha.
