Yesterday, I decided to install some LED sport lights on my car. I wanted to add some extra visibility for when I’m driving off-road or in bad weather. Plus, they look pretty cool!

First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I already bought the LED sport lights online. They’re pretty compact, about 3.5 inches, and they use four Cree LEDs. Seemed like they’d do the trick. I also made sure I had some basic tools: a wrench, some screwdrivers, and some wire connectors.
Mounting The Lights
- I figured out where I wanted to mount the lights on my car. I chose the front bumper because it seemed like the most practical spot.
- Then, I used the wrench and screwdrivers to attach the mounting brackets to the bumper. It was a bit tricky to get them aligned perfectly, but I managed.
- Once the brackets were secure, I attached the LED lights to them. They fit nicely and seemed pretty sturdy.
Wiring Them Up
- This was the part I was a little nervous about. I’m not exactly an expert when it comes to car electronics.
- I followed the instructions that came with the lights. It involved connecting the wires from the lights to the car’s electrical system. They are energy-efficient, nice!
- I made sure to disconnect the car battery before I started messing with any wires. Safety first, you know.
- I carefully connected the wires, using the wire connectors to make sure everything was secure. I saw these lights have an IP67 rating, which means they are resistant to dust and moisture.
Testing It Out
- After everything was connected, I reconnected the car battery and turned on the lights. And… they worked!
- They were way brighter than I expected. They lit up the whole area in front of the car. I could tell they were going to be super helpful when driving in the dark or in foggy conditions. I think these LED lights will last long time.
- I took the car for a little test drive around the block. I tested the lights in different settings, and they performed great.
Overall, I’m really happy with how the installation turned out. It took a few hours, but it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Now I have some awesome LED sport lights on my car, and I feel much more confident driving in any condition. Plus, they add a nice touch to the overall look of my ride. Now I can go to outdoor events with my new sport light!
I noticed that these Scene LED Pods are quite portable. I can use them around my camper or trailer. How convenient!
By the way, if you need to change the LED spotlight in the future, it is a quick fix. Just need to figure out the spring clips and observe safety precautions.
I recorded the whole process, you know. Maybe I should share my experience online sometime.
