Okay, so, it’s getting cold out there. And if you’re like me, a bit of a motorcycle nut, you’re not gonna let a little chill stop you from hitting the road. But man, those icy winds? They can really do a number on your hands. So, I started hunting for some decent winter motorcycle gloves.
First, I checked out some online stores, you know, the usual places where you can find all sorts of riding gear. I read through a bunch of product descriptions. I saw some pretty fancy names, like this “Held Cold Champ Gore-tex” thing, but at over 200 bucks, I was like, “Whoa, that’s a bit steep!” Still, it got me thinking about what I really needed.
I mean, I’m not planning on riding through a blizzard or anything, but I do need something that can handle some seriously cold temperatures. I noticed some gloves were talking about “Thinsulate insulation,” which sounded promising. There was this brand, KINGSBOM, that boasted about their gloves being waterproof and windproof, and good down to -40F. That seemed like a good deal to me.
So I decided to take the plunge and ordered a pair of these KINGSBOM gloves. The price was right, and the features seemed like what I needed. They arrived a few days later, and I was eager to try them out.
- First Impression: They felt pretty good, nice and thick, but not so bulky that I couldn’t work the controls.
- The Ride: I took my bike out for a spin on a chilly morning. It wasn’t -40, but it was definitely cold enough to test them out.
