This is about them fast cars from back in the day, them sports cars from the 80s and 90s, you know.

Back then, them cars, they was somethin’ else. Not like them newfangled things today, all computer this and electronic that. No sir, these was real machines, you could feel ’em in your bones. I remember them like it was yesterday.
Fast Cars, Oh Boy!
Now, the 90s sports cars, them was the ones. You got your Japanese ones, like the Nissan, the Honda, and the Toyota. They were all over the place. Zoomin’ around, makin’ all that noise. My neighbor, old man Johnson, he had one. Red as a fire truck. He’d rev that engine, and the whole street would rumble.
- Nissan somethin’ or other, Honda, Toyota, they all was fast.
- They was all shiny and new lookin’.
- Lots of folks had ’em, zoomin’ around, showin’ off.
They was fast, them cars. Faster than a greased piglet at the county fair. And the sound they made! Like a whole swarm of angry bees. Vroom, vroom! You could hear ’em comin’ from a mile away. Them 80s sports cars, some folks liked ’em too. But the 90s, them was the real deal. Shiny and new, like a fresh coat of paint on a barn door.
Them Fancy Cars
Then you had your fancy ones. Sports cars of the 90s, some of them was real fancy. BMW, Mercedes, Lexus. Them names, they sound like somethin’ out of a movie. They was sleek, like a wet otter slidin’ down a riverbank. And quiet, too. Not like them other ones that roared like a lion with a toothache.
- BMW, that’s a fancy one.
- Mercedes, that’s another fancy one.
- Lexus, folks said that was fancy too.
Folks who drove them, they thought they was somethin’ special. All dressed up in their fancy clothes, drivin’ their fancy cars. But me, I always thought a car’s a car. Gets you from here to there. Don’t matter if it’s shiny or not, long as it runs.
The Dodge Spirit
Then there was that Dodge. Dodge Spirit R/T I think they called it. Now that was a car. Folks talk about it a lot. It was like a regular car, but they put somethin’ special in the engine. Made it go real fast. Faster than a chicken with its head cut off, I reckon. Don’t know much about it, but I heard folks sayin’ it was somethin’ else.
- Dodge Spirit R/T, that was its name, I think.
- It went fast, real fast.
- Folks liked to talk about that car a lot.
Them Other Cars
And there was more, oh so many more. Subaru Legacy, Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Galant. Can’t keep ’em all straight in my head. They was all comin’ out, one after another. Like popcorn poppin’ in a hot skillet. Each one tryin’ to be faster and fancier than the last.
- Subaru Legacy, heard that name a few times.
- Hyundai Elantra, that’s another one.
- Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Galant, so many names.
90s sports and supercars. Supercars! That just sounds like somethin’ from a comic book. But they was real, all right. Shinier than a new dime and faster than anything you ever seen. They was somethin’ to behold, I tell ya. Those sports cars of the ’80s and ’90s, they don’t make ’em like that anymore.
Remembering Them Days
I remember seein’ them ’80s and ’90s sports cars zoomin’ down the road, dust flyin’ up behind ’em. Made you feel like you was in one of them car chase movies. Exciting times, they was. Simpler times, too. Before all this internet and whatnot. Just good old-fashioned fun.
These days, cars are all quiet and smooth. Like they’re tryin’ not to wake nobody up. But back then, them cars, they had character. They had personality. They were loud and proud, like a rooster crowin’ at the break of dawn. Them was the days, I tell ya. The days of the sports cars of the ’80s and ’90s. And those days, they was somethin’ special.
Now, you young’uns might not understand. You got your fancy phones and your electric cars. But back then, it was different. It was all about the roar of the engine, the smell of the gasoline, the feel of the road beneath your wheels. It was about them sports cars, them fast, loud, beautiful machines. The ’80s sports cars and the ’90s sports cars, yeah, that was somethin’.
