Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s talk about this Bremerton Sports Car Club thing, ya hear? I ain’t no fancy car expert or nothin’, but I can tell ya a thing or two I’ve heard around.
First off, this here club, they seem to be a bunch of folks who really love their cars. Fast cars, sporty cars, whatever you call ’em. They’re always zoomin’ around, sounds like a swarm of angry bees sometimes, but they seem to be havin’ a good ol’ time. They got a website and all, somethin’ called *. Don’t ask me what that means, I ain’t got a clue. But them youngsters, they seem to know all about it.
Now, from what I gather, these folks, they do all sorts of things with their cars. They got this “lapping” thing, where they drive around a track real fast. Sounds kinda dangerous to me, but hey, to each their own, I always say. And it ain’t cheap neither! I heard someone sayin’ it costs a hundred bucks to do this lappin’ all day. A hundred bucks! That could buy a whole heap of groceries, let me tell ya.
And then there’s this “autocross” thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? From what I can tell, it’s like drivin’ around cones real fast. Kinda like when them city folks try to parallel park, only faster and with more noise. They even got a school for it, a “novice autocross school” they call it. I guess even them fancy car drivers gotta learn sometime.

These Bremerton car folks, they seem to be pretty popular too. I heard they’re the most popular group of their kind around Seattle and Puget Sound. That’s a lot of folks, if you ask me. They have events all the time. They race, seems like they race all the time, especially on Sundays.
They had an event, let me see…just this past April, on the 16th. A Sunday, of course. And they seem to be plannin’ another school for next March, March 16th, 2024 to be exact. Gonna be at the Bremerton Motorsports Park over in Port Orchard. Seems like they like that place.
Now, I ain’t sure who this George Emery fella is, but he seems to be involved in organizin’ some of this stuff. Saw his name on somethin’ or other. And there’s a fella named Dave too, you gotta talk to him if you want to go lappin’. Sounds like he’s the one who knows what’s what.
So, what’s the deal with this Bremerton Sports Car Club? Well, like I said, I ain’t no expert. But it seems like a group of folks who love fast cars and havin’ a good time. They drive fast, they race, they learn how to drive even faster. And they do it all around Bremerton and Port Orchard, seems like. And they have a website, *. If you’re into that kinda thing, you might wanna check it out. Just be careful out there, ya hear? Them cars are fast, and I don’t want nobody gettin’ hurt.
They do things in Bremerton and sometimes in Seattle. I hear they like to drive their cars all over. Just a bunch of car lovers, that’s what they are. Always zoomin’ here and there.
They seem to be always talkin’ ’bout “track experience” this and “track experience” that. You can’t just go out there and drive like a wild man. You need some kinda “prior track experience”, whatever that means. Seems like they take it pretty seriously. But again, I don’t know. I just see them driving around sometimes, and it seems like a lot of excitement, to be honest.
