And don’t forget about going up. Measure from them bars on top of your car, the crossbars, up to how high you can go. You don’t want to be scraping that box on every low bridge and tree branch you go under.

- Measure how high you can go from the crossbars.
See? Easy peasy. Just like measurin’ for curtains, only on your car. And make sure you know how much weight that box can hold. Don’t go stuffin’ it full of rocks, ya hear? Them little cars can only take so much.
Now, these boxes, they gotta stick to somethin’ on your car, right? Them crossbars. Make sure the box you’re lookin’ at fits them bars. Some bars are square, some are round, some are… well, I don’t know what they are, but they’re different. Just make sure they match up, or you’ll be in a heap of trouble.
